Best Crash: Danger Bay 5 in Pender Harbour
I came around the first right bend and started going down, when I flipped my head went between 2
bales of hay and I flipped back out onto the road. I was talking with a slur and couldn’t feel much
below the waist. My helmet was split in 3. The ambulance crew on site thought I had a cracked skull
or broken neck so they called for the Helijet and I was put on a spineboard and airlifted to
Vancouver General Hospital where I spent the next 6 hours on the spineboard undergoing tests.
The last thing I said before they flew me out was to tell everyone I would see them at the awards
ceremony. After the tests were done, they found nothing but some swelling and they sent me home
… I ROCKED the ceremony that night! (And I always where a good helmet now)
Top Speed : 110 km/hr clocked, BUT know I went faster!!
I have been racing for 8 years, my first race was Danger Bay 2
